Works of the Law or the Works of Grace

STUDY HALL

A TRANSFORMATION OR CHANGE IN COVENANTS

Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?

Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. John 6:28-29 KJV)

Do we begin again to commend ourselves? or need we, as some others, epistles of commendation to you, or letters of commendation from you?

Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men: Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart. . . 5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God; Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away: How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious?2 Corinthians 3:1-3, 5-8 (KJV)

"Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to Yahweh for Israel is, that they might be saved. For I bear them record that they have a zeal of Yahweh, but not according to knowledge. For they being ignorant of Yahweh’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have errored

They would not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of Yahweh (which is by Grace, through Faith in Yahshua). For the Messiah is the END OF THE LAW FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS TO EVERY ONE THAT BELIEVETH" (Romans 10:1-4). "For by Grace ye are saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of Yahweh; NOT OF WORKS, lest any man should boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9).

Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. Hebrews 10:9

(KJV)  Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the Lord: But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. Jeremiah 31:31-33

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17

KJV)
