Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
“Speak to the children of Israel, that they take an offering for me. From everyone whose heart makes him willing you
shall take my offering. This is the offering which you shall take from them: gold, silver, brass, blue, purple, scarlet, fine
linen, goats’ hair, rams’ skins dyed red, sea cow hides, acacia wood, oil for the light, spices for the anointing
oil and for the sweet incense, onyx stones, and stones to be set for the ephod and for the breastplate. Let them make me a
sanctuary, that I may dwell among them. According to all that I show you, the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of
all of its furniture, even so you shall make it.
1. Where was Moses when he got the idea
for building the Tabernacle?
2. Where did the people
get all that stuff to build the tabernacle? Remember they had been slaves down in Egypt.
3. Why was Moses told to have the tabernacle built?

who serve a copy and shadow of the heavenly
things, even as Moses was warned by God when he was about to make the tabernacle, for he said, “See, you shall
make everything according to the pattern that was shown to you on the mountain.”
Exodus 36:6-7 (WEB)
Moses gave commandment, and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the
camp, saying, “Let neither man nor woman make anything else for the offering for the sanctuary.” So
the people were restrained from bringing. For the stuff they had was sufficient for all the work to make it, and
here is where all the "STUFF" came from:
I will give this people favor in the sight of the Egyptians,
and it will happen that when you go, you shall not go empty-handed. But every woman shall ask of her neighbor, and
of her who visits her house, jewels of silver, jewels of gold, and clothing; and you shall put them on your sons,
and on your daughters. You shall plunder the Egyptians.”
Exodus 12:35-36 (WEB)
The children of
Israel did according to the word of Moses; and they asked of the Egyptians jewels of silver, and jewels of gold,
and clothing. Yahweh gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they let them have what they asked. They
plundered the Egyptians.
3. Exodus 25:8 (WEB)
Let them make me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them.
The heavens declare the glory of God;
and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
2 Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.
3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.
4 Their line is gone out through all the
earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,

coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race .Psalm
