The Good News Journal #3
Forenote: This discussion is about asking the important questions in order to really
get to know what is really meant by what is written in the bible.
Jesus Said, “Think not…”
to the book—the Holy Bible, Jesus said a lot of things. So what?
Who is he, and by what authority does he have any importance. Consider the Pope, he is just a man,
a preacher is just another person and bible teachers can be just anybody, because they all at their
best can only be a messenger. You might say any one or all of them are “Holy,”
but that wouldn’t make them any better than anyone else. And "Holy," what does
that really mean? Because, they are just human beings like you and me. But someone
or some group of authority [so to speak] caused them to be titled “Holy.” Who
has that kind of authority and why? How do you know?
So far, the whole world of religious thought seems to be uncertain and filled
with disagreements about all the important matters related to knowing who Jesus really is and
why he existed as he did. And most of the religious leaders, they give more honor to
one another than they do to the God [His spoken words] whom they say they are worshiping.
Even in his day the Messiah said,
“Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do
what I say? (Luke 6:46 NIV)
And from personal inquiry, reading and researching
bible commentaries and footnotes, it is clear to me that scholars and teachers have examined and
analyzed the bible writings in great depth. (On a natural level, I do not compare with them.) And
some literary review specialists have even stated that the Holy Bible has been scrutinized
more than any other material written by humans. But, it is also painfully clear
that they have fallen very short of knowing the righteousness of Yahweh--The Truth.
I say "painfully clear" because so many souls are being lied to perdiction.
The three following quotes provide the basis for my
1. Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the
rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
2. O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science
falsely so called: Which some professing [to believe] have erred concerning the faith...
1 Timothy 6:20-21
3. Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they
might be saved. For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. For they being ignorant
of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness
The righteousness of Yahweh can be demonstrated and therefore the things of Yahweh
can be proven so that there is no more mystery or doubt. As Saul continues to explain. . .
you see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:
But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world
to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, has God chosen, yes,
and things which are not, to bring to nought [little importance] things that are: That no flesh should glory in his presence.
(Flesh means physical, carnal or natural minded)
But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of
God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: That, according as it is written, He
that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.--1 Corinthians 1:26-31
brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. For
I determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. And I was with you in weakness, and in
fear, and in much trembling. And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration
of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the
princes of this world, that come to nought: But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God
ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would
not have crucified the Lord of glory.
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen,
nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of (natural minded) man, the things which God hath prepared for them
that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things
of God.--1 Corinthians 2 :1-10
So please take note
that both the power of Yahweh and His wisdom are revealed and demonstrated in and by the scriptures through the preaching
of the Gospel of Yahshua the Messiah by the Holy Spirit. For there must be a universal and unchangeable
standard of judgment. If this is not so, then where is the justice and mercy of Yahweh? But as Saul declared
to the Greeks
Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of
God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.
And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
Because he hath appointed
a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance
unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.--Acts 17:29-31
Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you,
which also you have received, and wherein you stand; By which also you are saved, if you keep in memory what I preached unto
you, unless you have believed in vain.
For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ
died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to
the scriptures: And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the [eleven]: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren
at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James;
then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.--1 Corinthians 15:1-8
"The scriptures," what scriptures?
is the Divine, inspired writings of the Scriptures (from Genesis to Malachi) that contain the allegories and symbolical meanings
hidden in historical events manifested in the material realm that convey the spiritual realities of the Eternal Purpose of
Who or what minister is preaching by the Scriptures, as
demonstrated by the true apostles of the Messiah? Christianity as a whole is not. The popular ministry is not. Even the self-styled
independent are not. In the greater religious community, who is really preaching the true gospel as spoken of by the true
apostles? And where is the show of proof mentioned by Saul?
Quench not the Spirit. Despise not prophesying (teachings). Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain
from all appearance of evil.--1 Thessalonians 5:19-22
quoting and dramatizing what is written does not prove anything. Almost anyone can who can read can do that for themselves.
Saul says to "DEMONSTRATE the spirit and power," and he speaks to the "hidden wisdom, which Yahweh ordained . . ."
to the religious leaders of his day)
JESUS SAID: . . . had you believed Moses . . .
Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify
of me. And you will not come to me, that you might have life. I receive not honour from men.
But I know you, that you have not the love of God in you. I am come in my Father's name, and you receive me not:
if another shall come in his own name, him you will receive. How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another,
and seek not the honour that cometh from God only?
Do not think that I
will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom you trust. For had you believed Moses,
you would have believed me; for he wrote of me. But if you believe not his writings, how shall you believe my words?--John
Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying
again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying
on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. And this will we do, if God permit.--Hebrews 6:1-3
All scripture [that] is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof,
for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good
works.--2 Timothy 3:16-17
Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that you be perfectly joined together in
the same mind and in the same judgment. For it has been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house
of Chloe, that there are contentions among you. Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos;
and I of Cephas; and I of Christ. Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were you baptized in
the name of Paul?--1 Corinthians 1:10-13
And I, brethren, could not speak unto you
as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto
you were not able to bear it, neither yet now are you able. For you are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying,
and strife, and divisions, are you not carnal, and walk as men? For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos;
are ye not carnal? Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every
man?--1 Corinthians 3:1-5
Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be
of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.--2 Corinthians 13:11
[that] is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.--2 Timothy 3:16-17
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven
against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known
of God is manifest in them; for God hath showed it unto them (Hebrews/Jews).
For the invisible things of him from the
creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made (the creation), even his eternal power
and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were
thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.--Romans 1:18-21.
THREE(3) KEY THOUGHTS:
. . .that which may be known of God was shown
to them --Romans 1:19
. . .but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power--1 Corinthians 2:4
. . .clearly seen, being understood by the
things that are made--Romans 1:20
and said unto him (Nicodemus), Art thou a master of Israel, and [you don’t know] these things? Verily,
verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and you receive not our witness. If I
have told you earthly things, and you believe not, how shall you believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?--John 3:10-12
And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you,
while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets,
and in the psalms, concerning me.--Luke 24:44
And Yahshua said. . .
. . .had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me; for he wrote
of me. But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?--John 5:46-47
And Saul wrote. . .
. . .and how shall
they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach,
except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad
tidings of good things! But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?--Romans
(Please read this one extra carefully)
Moreover, brethren, I would not that you should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all
passed through the sea; And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; And did all eat the same spiritual
meat; And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that [went before] them: and that
Rock was Christ.--1 Corinthians 10:1-4
MORE QUESTIONS: Do you understand
what Saul is saying here?
is what Saul is looking at--
(How do I know? because Saul is speaking
according to a Divine Pattern.)
Then went up Moses, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of
the elders of Israel: And they saw the God of Israel: and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire
stone, and as it were the body of heaven in his clearness. And upon the nobles of the children of Israel he laid not his
hand: also they saw God, and did eat and drink.--Exodus 24:9-11
